Li Scafazzi
About The Grove
Li Scafazzi is an essential place in the region of southern Salento, it is located in an area where olive trees spread over square kilometres.
Here is one of the largest trulli in the vicinity, authentic 'ziqqurats' erected in the fields by unknown peasant architects. These towering monuments, the result of the art of stonework, dot the farmlands of the ancient fiefdom of the land of Leuca and are reached by winding lanes that wander between the districts in an authentic labyrinth of dry stone walls.
The land is one of the most fertile in the olioleo.com domain, and the red soil contributes particularly well.
About The Oil
There were 100 century olive trees at Li Scafazzi. Most of them died from Xylella fastidiosa, a bactrey that was particularly prevalent in this region.
Distance from the Sea
About 9.2 km from the Ionian Sea.

La Sarazula
About The Grove
La Sarazula is a special grove as it contains a very old well where rainwater is stored. Also, many other old constructions are still on the ground such as a pig house, a stone oven and an old farmhouse.
There are many young olive trees on the grounds, as well as our own vegetable plantation for personal consumption, including tomatoes, salad, pumpkins, etc..
About The Oil
Several young olive trees have been planted in recent years. It is located near Morciano di Leuca. The colour of the ground is one where red is more dominant.
Distance from the Sea

Lu Cantoro
About the Grove
Our centuries-old and young olive trees at Lu Cantoro enjoy the most beautiful view of the sea all year. This is also the smallest ground our family owns, but one of the most productive.
The olive grove is located near the marina of Torre Vado. As a protection against barbary corsairs, the marina has a 16th-century watchtower that is still intact.
About the Olive Tree
In Lu Cantoro, there are both young and old olive trees. We are currently replating as many olive trees as possible to replace those that have withered.
Distance from the Sea
About 0.5 km from the Ionian Sea.

La Zocca
About the Grove
La Zocca from the Salento dialect means 'dig' or zoccare 'to excavate', being a large area covered with red soil and limestone rock.
Our ancestors used to break these rocks in order to dig and plant, and with the remains of the recovered stones they used them to build different types of constructions: farms, animal houses, ovens, dry-stone walls and trulli.
The olive grove is located near the town of Morciano di Leuca.
About the Olive Tree
Zocca - a land that contains both young and old olive trees. Unfortunately, with the Xylella Fastidiosa more than 60 per cent of the olive trees have withered or died.
Distance from the Sea
About 3.5 km from the Ionian Sea.
